Club Mystery Tour 2023

June 1, 2023 Club Mystery Tour 2023 Recap

We embarked on our club's mystery tour starting at Ella and Alan Veltheon’s breathtaking residence where we were greeted by their remarkable hand-built Wurlitzer. The intricate engineering of the instrument mesmerized us, and its delightful tunes filled the air. Alan then shared the fascinating history behind its creation before we headed to our next destination.

The next stop led us to Mike and Viola Barton’s impressive collection featuring a diverse array of vintage signs and classic cars. Their recreation of a 50s-style barber shop and shoe shine stand, adorned with nostalgic Modesto business signs, left us in awe. The richness of their collection truly captured the essence of yesteryears.

Our final stop was at the garage of club member Don Wendstrand, where we were treated to a visual feast of Atlantic series cars and mint-condition hot rods. Among them was a stunning '72 Porsche that caught everyone's eye. The day concluded with a delectable catered lunch in a serene setting, courtesy of our generous hosts. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all involved in organizing this memorable day filled with delightful discoveries.
